Karthigai Deepam Festival 2026

Karthigai Deepam is a traditional Tamil festival celebrated with the lighting of lamps. Temples in Kallakurichi District traditionally conduct special poojas and lighting ceremonies during this period. Devotees decorate homes and temples with oil lamps as part of the celebration. Religious programmes and devotional activities may also be organised at local temples. The festival represents an important part of Tamil religious and cultural traditions.
