Kallakurichi Book Festival 2025 was an important literary and educational event organised to promote reading habits among students and the public. The festival featured books from around 47 publishing houses covering literature, education, competitive exams and general knowledge. Various competitions and cultural programmes were conducted for students and visitors. The event also encouraged Tamil literature and provided an opportunity for readers to interact with publishers. Overall, the festival contributed to the educational and cultural development of Kallakurichi district.

The Koovagam Koothandavar Festival is one of the important cultural and religious events associated with Kallakurichi district. The 2025 festival began with the traditional Saagai Vaarthal ceremony at Koovagam. Various religious rituals, cultural programmes and traditional activities were conducted during the festival. Thousands of devotees and members of the transgender community participated in the important ceremonies. The festival concluded after the major rituals connected with Lord Koothandavar and Aravan.

The Kallakurichi Mega Job Fair was conducted to provide employment opportunities to local youth. The event brought private-sector companies and job seekers together at one location. Candidates from SSLC, ITI, Diploma, Degree, Engineering, Agriculture, Medical and other educational backgrounds could participate. Freshers, experienced candidates and persons with disabilities were also eligible. The event was organised by the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre, Kallakurichi.

The Kallakurichi Perumal Temple Chariot Festival was held as part of the Chitra Pournami celebrations. The event featured special worship and rituals for Lord Perumal along with Sri Devi and Bhoodevi. A decorated temple chariot was prepared for the procession through the important streets of Kallakurichi. Large numbers of devotees participated in pulling the chariot and attending the religious ceremonies. The colourful procession highlighted the traditional religious and cultural heritage of Kallakurichi.
